Central Universities Common Entrance Test

For admission to the Central Universities (CUs) of Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, South Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and the Dr BR Ambedkar School of Economics, the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is held. CUCET is used to admit students to undergraduate and graduate programmes. CUCET allows students to apply for admission to Central Universities across the country. Every year, nearly one lakh applicants take the exam. CUCET is open to candidates who have completed 10+2, Bachelor’s degree, and Master’s degree.

Eligibility criteria for CUCET

To take the CUCET, students must meet the eligibility requirements.

The following are the requirements for taking the CUCET exam.

  • Candidates must have graduated from a recognised central or state university with a Class 12 diploma.
  • Students must have received a grade of 45 per cent or higher on their board exams
  • Candidates who failed one or more subjects in their 12th grade will be ineligible to apply for CUET 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for CUCET UG Courses 2022:

Integrated B.A.B.Ed/Integrated B.A.LL.B (Hons.).Integrated B.A.LL.B/B.B.A/B.C.A/B.A 10+2 or equivalent in any stream from a recognised Board/University with not less than 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Integrated B.Sc B.Ed 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream from a recognised Board/University with not less than 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Integrated B.Sc B.Ed (Mathematics) ●     10+2 or equivalent in Science stream from a recognised Board/University with not less than 60% marks for General category, 55% marks for OBC-NCL category and 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates. ●     Must not have completed 20 years of age as of 1st July of the current year ●     Must have Mathematics/Statistics, Physics and Chemistry in 10+2.
Integrated M.Sc in Biochemistry/B.VOC in Biomedical Sciences 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream with Biology from a recognised Board/University with not less than 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Integrated B.Sc. M.Sc/Integrated M.Sc in Biotechnology At least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent on the grading scale of the Board at 10+2 level with Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biochemistry. 5% relaxation to OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates
Integrated B.Sc (Hons.) M.Sc/Integrated M.Sc in Chemistry 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream with Chemistry from a recognised Board/University with not less than 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Integrated M.C.A/Integrated M.Sc in Computer Science 10+2 in any discipline
Integrated M.Sc in Economics 10+2 or equivalent with English and Mathematics from a recognised Board/University with not less than 65% marks for General/OBC and 60% marks for SC/ST candidates.
B.Tech in Electrical Engineering 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream with Chemistry from a recognised Board/University with not less than 45% marks for General/OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates. Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory in 10+2 along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology and Electronics
B.Voc 10+2 pass from a recognised board with at least 45% marks in aggregate Students with NSQF certification level may also apply Students who have passed an equivalent exam from a polytechnic in the same field
B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board/University with not less than 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
B.A in Social Science 10+2 in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories.
B.Sc in Textiles 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board/University with not less than 60% marks for General/OBC and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates.

M.B.A in Agribusiness

A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture related/Humanities, Social Sciences, Pure Sciences, Commerce, Management, Engineering, Design and Planning and Rural Management, etc. from a recognised University with not less than 55% marks for General/OBC and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates.

M.A/M.Sc in Applied Criminology and Police Studies

Graduation in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories.

M.Sc in Biochemistry

Must have qualified B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc in Botany/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Zoology/Life Sciences/Chemistry or B.Voc in Biomedical Sciences with at least 50% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories.

M.Sc in Biotechnology

Must have qualified B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc in Botany/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Zoology/Chemistry or B.Voc in Biomedical Sciences/Industrial Waste Management with at least 50% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories.

M.B.A

●     Has a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or any degree from a recognised university

                                    OR

●     Passed final exam from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Cost and Works Accountants of Company Secretaries

                                 OR

●     Passed A.M.I.E (Engineering)

M.Com

●     Passed B.com (Hons.)/B.Com at least 50% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories.

OR

●     Passed B.A(Hons.) Economics at least 50% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories.

OR

●     Passed B.B.S/B.B.E/B.F.I.A/B.B.E/B.Voc in Retail and Logistics Management with at least 60% marks in aggregate

LL.M

Must have an LL.B degree recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI) with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade/CGPA

Reservation to reserved category candidates according to CUJ norms.

M.A./M.Sc in Psychology

Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/OBC categories.

M.P.A (Theatre/Music/Dance/Drama)

Graduation in any discipline with Performing Arts as one of the subjects at least 55% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/OBC categories.

Master of Public Health (M.P.H)

Must have qualified MBBS/BDS/B.Sc Nursing/any branch of Engineering/B.Pharm/Bachelor of Physiotherapy/B Ayush/B.Vety/MSW/Economics/Policy Science/Sociology/Nutrition/Development Economics/Public Administration/Psychology/law

Admission process for CUCET

Step 1: To register, candidates must provide the following information: their name, valid email address, mobile number, date of birth, and password.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form with your information.

Step 3: Upload a photo of yourself and your signature.

Step 4: Register for a Course

Important Instructions for the CUCET Application Form

  • Candidates could only apply to a maximum of three central universities. Candidates had to pay the application fee again if they wanted to apply to more than three universities.
  • Exam authorities will not accept a candidate’s application form until the CUET 2022 test fee has been paid in full.
  • On successful submission of the CUET online application form and payment of the fee, an email and SMS will be sent to the candidates’ registered email ID and phone number.
  • Candidates who pay their application fees via SBI challan may have to wait up to seven days for confirmation of their CUET 2022 registration form acceptance.

Documents required for CUCET

Candidates must submit soft copies of the following documents with their application form in order to register for CUCET.

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Class 10 Marksheet
  • Class 12 Marksheet
  • Photo ID proof of the candidate’s signature (Aadhaar card)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

CUCET Syllabus

The CUCET 2022 UG syllabus will be based solely on the NCERT syllabus for class 12th; no questions from class 11th will be asked. It will be determined by the topic you select. The basic exam pattern for the CUET exam is that it will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions. The total number of marks will be 100, and the exam will last 3 hours.
